So if you are a Business you want to make sure you have a Business Manager account. This might mean upgrading your basic Ads Manager account to a Business Manager Account.
A great reason why you do want to do this is to have the ability to Upload Customer List and create a Custom Audience from this list.
So if you want to create a lookalike audience by uploading a customer list, this feature is only available in Business Managers accounts.

Part 2: Add your Ad Account
Once your business manager is setup. Then we need to add the Ad Account into Business Manager

Add an ad account in Business Manager
Steps to add an ad account in Business Manager:
- Go to Business Settings.
- Click Accounts and click Ad Accounts.
- Click + Add.
- Choose one of the 3 options: Add Ad Account, Request Access to an Ad Account or Create a new ad account.
- If you choose to request access or add an ad account, enter the ad account ID. Learn where to find the account ID.
- Follow the prompts to select people and access levels.
Part 3: Assign yourself as the manager
Assign yourself as the “manager of the account” – giving yourself access essentially.
- Go to Business Settings.
- Click Accounts and click Ad Accounts.
- Click your account.
- You’ll see “People” section
- + Add People (and add yourself if you are not there)

Add me as a user. Go into Business settings.

Give a partner access to assets in your Business Manager
To add partners or agencies to your business:
- Go to Business Settings.
- Below Users, click Partners.
- Click + Add.
- Select Give a partner access to your assets.
- Enter the Partner Business ID you want to add and click Next.
- On this screen, you can add partners to multiple assets. Choose a type of asset in the first column. Select the assets you want to add your partner to in the second column. Assign a role for your partner in the third column. Repeat these steps until you’ve chosen roles for all of the assets you want to assign.
- Click Save Changes.

If it happens that you cannot see the Facebook page, then you’ll need to to connect the page to the Account.

Part 6: Add people and Assign assets
Add people to assets in your Business Manager
To add people to assets in Business Manager:
- Open Business Settings.
- Click Users.
- Click People.
- Select a person.
- Click Assign Assets and select a type of asset.
- Toggle on tasks you’d like to grant to the person. Or, toggle on admin access to allow them to manage the asset and perform all available tasks.
- Select the specific assets you’d like to share access to and choose a role.
- Click Save Changes.
